2020 has been one of the most disruptive and difficult years for the leisure sector, and of course, the country as a whole, with 2021 hopefully providing our industry with the start of a recovery.
The Leisure Property Forum annual review is one of our flagship events, providing attendees the opportunity to hear from four industry experts who will cover the economy, F&B market, non-food/Big Box Leisure sector and investment market. This year we will also cover the finance market for leisure for the first time. Our experts will review the big events, influences and trends over 2020, and look forward to what 2021 may hold in store for us. Never has so much disruption and change affected our sector, making this event more relevant than ever.
The Event will be chaired by industry champion Kate Nicholls, CEO of UK Hospitality who has been leading the sector’s efforts to survive, with her highly visible campaigning and lobbying of the four national governments within the UK.
The first presentation will be a general overview of the economy and city market by Simon French of Panmure Gordon who is their Chief Economist. Panmure Gordon are a major player in the financial markets for the leisure sector, helping many listed and non-listed leisure companies with their funding and investor management.
This will be followed with a presentation on the F&B market from Camilla Topham, Director and Founding partner at F&B leasing specialists, Distrkt and then a presentation on the Non-food / Big Box Leisure market from Victoria Gould, Retail Leasing Manager at Landsec. She is responsible for leisure and F&B leasing across the entire Landsec portfolio and was previously at JLL where she specialised in retail and leisure consultancy. Both sectors have seen major disruption during 2020.
Our speakers will give an overview of the main activity within these sub-sectors throughout 2020, as well as discussing emerging trends and influences, and the prospects for 2021.
The investment market will be covered by Toby Hall, Senior Director, Pubs and Leisure Transactions at CBRE who will join our three panellists for the Q&A section based on questions submitted by our members to finish this important event.
The event will be broadcast at 4pm on the 27th of January 2021. Members will be able to submit questions in advance for the panel to answer, once they sign-up for the session.
This year, as the session will be virtual, we have reduced the event fee to only £25 per member, with tickets available at £45 per member’s guest and £100 per non-member. For those who wish to join the LPF at this point we have low cost pro rata memberships available until 31.3.21.
