2021 has seen a continuation of one of the most disruptive and difficult periods for the leisure sector, and of course, the country as a whole. With the strong signs of recovery but new areas of challenge such as rising costs, supply shortages and staff wages, what can we look forward to in 2022?
The Leisure Property Forum annual review is one of our flagship events and a must-attend event, providing attendees the opportunity to hear from four major industry experts who will cover the economy, F&B market, non-food/Big Box Leisure sector and investment market.
Our experts will review the big events of 2021, as well as take a look at how the sector has learned from the experience, with examples of innovation and adaptation across many aspects of leisure and hospitality. The presentations will be followed by a panel discussion discussing and expanding on key trends and challenges in our sector.
The Event will be chaired by Emma MacKenzie, Head of Asset Management & ESG at NewRiver REIT.
After last year’s virtual event we are delighted to say this will be a physical event, unless there are any changes in restrictions around events, with networking after, courtesy of our generous sponsors.
Kate Nicholls, CEO of UK Hospitality has been leading the sector’s efforts to survive and pull through these turbulent times, with her highly visible campaigning and lobbying of the four national governments within the UK.
Simon French, Managing Director of Panmure Gordon . Panmure Gordon are a major player in the financial markets for the leisure sector, helping many listed and non-listed leisure companies with their funding and investor management. After Simon’s well-received summary and review of the economic outlook last year, he joins us again, this time in person.
Camilla Topham, Director and Founding partner at F&B leasing specialists, Distrkt. Distrkt are one of the most active and innovative food and beverage specialist leasing agents in the sector and Camilla is an experienced advisor to major industry players.
Andrew McGregor, Equity Director at Bruce Gillingham Pollard. Andrew is one of the most active investment agents in the UK in both the retail and leisure sectors with a career that has included roles at Savills and Knight Frank before becoming a partner at BGP. He is involved in many high-profile transactions and is advising major investors in the sector.
Ross heads the leisure team at Colliers, who are a leading advisory firm in our sector. Ross advises many leading operators and landlords across all sub-sectors within the leisure industry. He will cover fast-evolving non-food and beverage sectors.
Our speakers will give an overview of the main activity within these sub-sectors throughout 2021, as well as discussing emerging trends and influences, key learnings, and the prospects for 2022.
The event will take place from 4.30pm to 6.30pm on the 26th of January 2022 at a central London venue. Members will be able to submit questions in advance for the panel to answer, once they sign-up for the session.
