The restaurant sector is one of the most diverse in the leisure arena and for our next event we have curated a c-suite level panel of guests to talk about the current market and where the opportunities and risks lie ahead.
We will hear from Arabella Dalloz at CACI on the current state of the consumer market, how customer spending is changing and what the future could hold in terms of demographic analysis.
Simon Stenning of Future Foods will provide some future predictions on what to expect from the restaurant market over the next 5-10 years – ones to watch, trends to follow and hot tips for the sector.
A panel Q&A session chaired by Simon and featuring some of the most senior executives in the sector will then place. Our panel will debate how their businesses are performing and how they see the market changing over the coming months and years.

Arabella Dalloz – Principal Consultant – Head of Leisure at CACI Ltd
The way consumers spend their leisure time and engage with space has changed forever. Brands and places need to rethink how they connect to their customers – from acquisition to marketing, engagement, proposition, delivery, and location. Arabella will talk us through recent CACI analysis exploring changes to consumer spend by demographic and brand for 2023 and beyond, and what this means for the food and beverage sector.

Simon Stenning – FutureFoodService.com
Simon will reference his recent report ‘The Immediate Future for Hospitality/Foodservice, 2020/21’ which delivers a comprehensive forecast of the market for the next 12-18 months. In addition he will look at the economic cost of the pandemic, the longer-term recovery of the market, and a forecast to 2030, touching on at technological developments and identification of which ones will be employed in the future.

Emma Woods – Chair, Non-Executive Director & Board Advisor, Tortilla Group
Emma is currently Chair of Tortilla Mexican Grill, as well as Non Executive Director for Huel, the plant-based meal replacement brand which has rrecently raised a further $24m (£19.9m) to underpin its global growth plans, counting some high-profile celebrities among its new financial backers. She is also Non Executive Director of GPE, joining the GPE Board at an important time as they lead on ensuring new London developments are sustainably built, and answer the question of what London office working will look like post pandemic . In addition she acts as Senior Independent Director for The Gym Group.
Gavin Smith – Managing Director, Pizza Pilgrims
Gavin is Managing Director of Pizza Pilgrims where he was promoted from Operations Director in 2020 when the role was created, before which he was Operations Director. Prior to PP, Gavin was Operations Director at Wahaca. Before that he spent 9 years with MAB with Browns restaurants and Premium Country Dining Group.
Pizza Pilgrims was founded in 2012 by brothers Thom & James Elliot after a 6 weeks pilgrimage through Italy, culminating in a street food van on Berwick Street in Soho and the first bricks and mortar location on Dean Street in Soho. Pizza Pilgrims now operates 22 locations and continues to search for high footfall locations and in interesting and unique spaces.
